“Our month’s stay at Ruffner’s Ridge was truly wonderful! It’s a comfortable, welcoming home and so quiet, peaceful, and relaxing. It didn’t take us long to settle in and know we had made the right decision for our vacation stay. We loved the natural light from all the windows and skylights and enjoyed reading and talking out on the huge deck. The king bed was really comfortable, and we appreciated the beautifully updated bathrooms and kitchen. The wifi worked great — a real plus when FaceTiming or streaming Netflix! Communication with the owners was great — Kaet checked in with us during our stay and was always friendly and helpful. Ruffner’s Ridge felt like “a home away from home” for us, and we made some wonderful memories there!”

“My family and I agree that James Ruffner's Ridge is the top Airbnb we have ever stayed in. Gorgeous private surroundings, but not isolated, ten minutes from Warrenton, VA, and the location of the family wedding we attended. The layout was great for grandparents, parents, and two young grandkids. The placement of the living room, dining room and kitchen between two master bedrooms - both with full bathrooms - made it so private when we were sleeping. In the few days before arriving, Kaet responded to any questions within minutes.
In sum, from the 2 1/2 yr old, 5-year-old, their parents, and grandparents, we give an enthusiastic thumbs up and then some.”

“We had a wonderful stay at Ruffner's Ridge. Great property. Long driveway and property sits off the road for great privacy. No road noise, but just a short drive and close to what you need. Lots of good outdoor space. Great, very large deck and lots of green space. Kids and adults had a great time outside.
Kitchen was well stocked and new appliances. Everything was provided. Gas grill and gas firepit worked great on the deck. Beds were all very comfortable with plenty of nice linens and pillows. Bathrooms were all recently updated with very nice touches.
Highly recommend. Great property! It was the perfect spot for our weekend getaway. 4 adults and 4 kids comfortably stayed here.”Amy

“This house is fantastic! We had rented the house for my family Thanksgiving get-together, and everyone loved it. The house is very clean and in a beautiful location. James and the co-hosts are very responsive and very nice. I cannot say enough good about the hosts and the house.”

“This was one of the most enjoyable weekends that we’ve ever had. The Home felt like, HOME! It was clean, the kitchen was well-appointed, and the entire house was extremely comfortable for our family to gather for our reunion.
The surrounding property was magnificent. Looking out from the deck, we spotted a herd of deer in the woods. We hiked the property and had fun playing corn hole and just relaxing. The home has everything we needed. We loved being on that back deck. The bedrooms and beds were very comfortable. We just loved being there and will return again.
The hosts were responsive to our every need. It was the best. Thank you so much.”

“James and Kaet were incredible hosts. I booked Ruffner’s Ridge for a baby shower. I was permitted to check in early to start setting up. The tall oaks in the rear provided ample shade for my guests, so no tents were needed. The house has great light and is very suitable for gatherings. I plan to book again for a small women's retreat.”

“This place is even more beautiful than the pictures! So much so that when the bridesmaids were running late for the photo shoot, we called the photographer to come and did the whole shoot in the backyard! With a comfortable deck for those waiting to relax on! Ended right on schedule!

”This review will appear fake, but it is 100% authentic. This was the best Airbnb experience we have ever had. The house was magnificent. They have everything you need. The yard was great for Wiffle ball with our kids. The layout was ideal. We even used the back fire table for some s’mores. The house has a lot of history that you felt a part of when you were there. My wife wants to buy it and live there forever. The hosts were magnificent and courteous. We hope to stay here again!”
